MAIN PAGE >> MXML AND SEARCH ENGINE OPTIMIZATION FOR ADOBE® FLEX™HTML5 (Canvas) SEO versus (Flex™) SWF SEO:As stated on a previous page -In my view: UNLESS ACTION IS TAKEN TO OFFER AN UPDATED FLASH™ PLAYER VERSION SOON (to offer a "W3C-like" standard for recognition for robot crawlers & search engine users) deep linking in Flex will remain a "semi Flash™ like" work-about operation and end up sending developers to HTML5 production. - Especially as HTM5 is being promoted by Google™ if Adobe® does not update its FLASH PLAYER™ for both FLASH™ and FLEX™ SEO it will be the "Victory Call of HTML5"!FLEX™ SWF SEO:It is essential, at least in my view that one stop treating FLEX™ SEO as if it were FLASH™ SEO !! Long term use of such work-abouts will lead to HTM5 canvas control of the market and worse it will not deal with SEO for SaaS which can get a new life from Flex™. Hence the idea that "SWF SEO" as a keyword phrase automatically seems to correlate in the mind of geeks with Flash files is something we need to change. MOST OF FLASH SEO is external to the SWF so this is another reason that when one says: "SEO SWF" one should at once think of clear defined solutions provided by Adobe® - which is still not the case - as the Dev SEO part of Adobe's site talks about RIAs offering FLASH™ solutions and not - see previous threads here - offering an update to the FLASH PLAYER™ that would help ADOBE® FLEX™ SWF files AVOID WORK-ABOUTS.
